Innobrace Thermal Martensitic Nickel Titanium Archwires The "Shape memory effect" of the wire describes how our arch wires work to return to their original shape after engagement, providing effective movement of the patient's teeth. The arch wires' martensitic characteristics will ensure that these wires remain very pliable during insertion. After insertion is complete, the thermally activating body temperature will then fully activate the shape memory and super elastic properties. These wires provide light continuous forces that are ideal for optimal tooth movement. The light forces, combined with the martensitic properties allow you to engage larger sizes earlier in treatment with lesser patient discomfort. Due to the pliable condition at room temperature, these wires can also be engaged in severely misaligned teeth allowing the orthodontist sufficient time for insertion prior to their thermal activation. Our arch wires have a highly polished surface finish which aids in the reduction of friction and allows the brackets to slide easily along the wire. The transition temperature are as follows: Round wires: 78.8 - 89.6 degree Fahrenheit (26 - 32 degree celsius) Square/Rectangular wires: 78.8 - 89.6 degree Fahrenheit (26 - 32 degree celsius) Choose from a range of Sizes: .014 x .025 / .016 x 016 / .016 x 022 / .016 x.025 / 017 x .022 / .017 x .025 / .018 x.018 / .018 x .022/.018 x .025/.019 x .025/ .020 x .020/ .021 x .025 in both upper and lower arch forms. Frequently asked questions

When should I use NiTi versus stainless steel archwires?

NiTi archwires deliver light, continuous forces ideal for early alignment and levelling. Stainless steel wires are stiffer and used for working and finishing stages where greater control is needed.

What are coil springs used for?

NiTi and stainless steel coil springs open or close space along the archwire — open-coil to create space, closed-coil to retract — providing controlled, continuous force.

Do you supply both round and rectangular wires?

Yes. Round wires suit early alignment while rectangular wires deliver torque and finishing control. Innobrace stocks both across the common dimensions.
